Elektri\u011fin ilk kez, Thales taraf\u0131ndan incelendi\u011fi s\u00f6ylenmektedir. N\u00fckleer santraller ise uranyum yak\u0131t\u0131n\u0131 par\u00e7alamakta ve \u0131s\u0131 \u00fcretmektedir. Ancak bu santraller \u00fcrettikleri \u0131s\u0131y\u0131, suyu buharla\u015ft\u0131rmak i\u00e7in kullanmaktad\u0131r. Olu\u015fturulan bu buhar, t\u00fcrbine verilmektedir. T\u00fcrbin \u015faft\u0131n\u0131n \u00fczerindeki binlerce kanat\u00e7\u0131ktan ge\u00e7en su buhar\u0131, \u00fcretilen \u0131s\u0131dan ald\u0131\u011f\u0131 enerjiyle t\u00fcrbin \u015faft\u0131n\u0131 d\u00f6nd\u00fcrmektedir. Bu sayede jenerat\u00f6r elektrik \u00fcretmektedir. Olu\u015fturulan bu elektrik, iletim hatlar\u0131 arac\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131yla kullan\u0131lacak yere g\u00f6nderilmektedir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>S\u0131cakl\u0131\u011f\u0131 ve bas\u0131nc\u0131 azalm\u0131\u015f buhar ise yo\u011funla\u015ft\u0131r\u0131c\u0131 (kondenser) ad\u0131 verilen bir yerde so\u011futulmakta ve su haline getirilmektedir. Daha sonra tekrar kullan\u0131lmas\u0131 i\u00e7in santralin \u0131s\u0131 \u00fcretilen noktas\u0131na geri g\u00f6nderilmektedir. Kondenser noktas\u0131nda so\u011futma i\u015flemi uygulanabilmesi i\u00e7in \u0131rmak, g\u00f6l veya denizlerdeki sular kullan\u0131lmaktad\u0131r. Santralin yak\u0131nlar\u0131nda su kayna\u011f\u0131 bulunmuyorsa, genellikle santralin hemen yan\u0131na in\u015fa edilen ve b\u00fcy\u00fck bacalara sahip olan so\u011futma kuleleri yard\u0131m\u0131yla i\u015flem ger\u00e7ekle\u015ftirilmektedir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Elektrik \u00fcretimi i\u00e7in kullan\u0131lan bir di\u011fer metot ise hidrolik santrallerdir. Hidrolik santraller i\u00e7in barajlarda biriken sular, su t\u00fcrbininin \u00fczerinden ge\u00e7irilmekte ve bu sayede t\u00fcrbine ba\u011fl\u0131 olan elektrik jenerat\u00f6r\u00fc d\u00f6nd\u00fcr\u00fclmektedir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Belirtilen bu y\u00f6ntemlerin d\u0131\u015f\u0131nda yenilenebilir enerji kaynaklar\u0131 olan g\u00fcne\u015f, r\u00fczgar ve jeotermal enerjiler de elektrik \u00fcretiminde kullan\u0131labilmektedir.
